Joseph Martinez
FIRE KEEPER / TEMAZCALERO/ MEN'S WORK LEAD GUIDE
Joseph Martinez serves as a minister and ceremonial steward within The Hive. He walks as a devoted student of the sacred, guided by prayer, discipline, and the living teachings of multiple spiritual traditions. His path is rooted in Indigenous wisdom and the red road, alongside continued study of spiritual philosophies including Hindu and Gnostic traditions, all held with reverence and humility.
Joseph is a fourth-year Sun Dancer, Fire Keeper, and ceremonial space holder whose practice centers on devotion, responsibility, and service to community. He carries a deep commitment to supporting the opening of the human heart and to fostering spaces where individuals can remember their inherent connection to love, purpose, and one another.
He has spent years walking in ceremony and continues to deepen his formation through relationships with traditional teachers, including guidance connected to the Shipibo lineage. These teachings inform his approach to prayer, ceremony, and communal support within the church.
Joseph is also the founder of the Big Love Ceremony and co-founder of the men’s group Divine Masculine Embodied, through which he has supported men in cultivating presence, accountability, and integrity within their spiritual and relational lives. Within the church context, this work contributes to the cultivation of conscious community and balanced masculine leadership.
His ministry is grounded in devotion, simplicity, and the belief that spiritual transformation unfolds through relationship—with the Divine, with the Earth, and with one another. Joseph’s service is offered as an invitation to move beyond separation and to live from the truth of shared belonging.
