Isaiah McPeak

Isaiah is a husband, father of three, musician, curious human, and lifelong starter of things. He has started companies, debate clubs, bands, and probably more projects than he can remember. He is happiest making music with other people, riding his mountain bike, wandering a trail, gathering around a good book, or losing at a board game he was responsible for teaching everyone else.

At the heart of Isaiah’s work is conversation. For more than twenty years, he has studied the art and science of communication, drawing from classical rhetoric, brain science, and the lived experience of walking through difficult conversations himself. He works with people around the moments that can feel hardest to navigate: the conversation you have been avoiding, the room you are afraid to enter, the negotiation where something important is at stake.

But for Isaiah, conversation is about much more than communication skills. It is a practice of presence, generosity, and seeing another person clearly. His belief is that we do not always need to convince someone, fix something, or win an argument. Sometimes we simply get to listen deeply enough to understand what is actually being said, and offer the piece that might help another person see their own path more clearly.

That philosophy is woven into his book, Upside Down Debate, and into the way he shows up in community. He brings a rare combination of practical skill and genuine curiosity, with a willingness to sit with people in the places where things are complicated, uncomfortable, or still unfolding.

Isaiah and his wife, Jenn, co-own Evolve Social Wellness, where his relationship with the heat and transformational work began, before his path brought him to The Hive. Here, he serves the church through marketing, growth, conversation, and whatever else needs a thoughtful set of hands.
